After weighing a few places to stay on the Las Vegas Strip with a couple off strip, we decided on the South Point Resort which offered plenty of family activities without having to leave the resort. With the in-laws and kids in tow, we needed to find a resort that would keep everyone in the family happy. The resort offers a shuttle bus to the strip for a fee, so we opted to rent a car so that we can go beyond just the strip. It is close enough to the strip to not miss any of the fun, but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle when you want to relax with the family.

South Point Hotel Casino and Spa is located about 6 miles south of the famous Las Vegas Strip, so a short drive up Las Vegas Blvd. Although still a casino suitable for the avid gambler, it was definitely a very well maintained property with an abundance of things to do for the entire family, without actually leaving the resort. The South Point Resort is the exception as it offers many family friendly activities that make it easy for those traveling with kids. Most hotel resorts with bars and huge casinos taking up the entire lobby are not usually deemed kid-friendly resorts. | Photo Courtesy of South Point Hotel A Las Vegas Kid Friendly Hotel
